Abstract

This study aims to raise the problem of mental health of medical students in Brazil and in the world and presents the experience of the medical course of PUC Goiás in the process of prevention of diseases and promotion of mental health of future doctors. In this sense, the authors delimited the pedagogical moment of greatest emotional impact for the medical students of PUC Goiás and analyzed the development of the Balint groups, as well as the study of the mental illness of medical students, as tools to prevent this illness and mental health promotion.
