Ossificação heterotópica associada a osteoporose e fraturas por fragilidade em paciente com lesão medular

A ossificação heterotópica é definida como a formação ectópica de osso em tecidos moles e se forma mais frequentemente ao redor dos quadris, joelhos, cotovelos e ombros. Relatamos a seguir o caso de uma paciente paraplégica devido a lesão medular, apresentando osteoporose e ossificação heterotópica extensa dos quadris, que evoluiu após fratura intertrocantérica bilateral sem história de trauma, tratada com ácido zoledrônico.
