Abstract

Introduction: The perception of stress is inherent to the human condition and is manifested in each individual who is predisposed to singular factors such as the characterization of their own personality, resistance of the organism as well as self-esteem. In this sense, the same stressful stimulus is distinctly perceived among people, which makes each response subjective and individual and reflected in the accumulative adaptation capacity during the experience of each being. Objective: To evaluate the perceived stress during the professional training of the different areas, through a literature review. Methods: It is an integrative review of the literature from demands of the Emergency Care Units, with bibliographic survey using the search tools Medline, Scielo, Google Scholar and Virtual Health Library, being used the search descriptors “UPA”, “Profile”, “Demand”, “Urgency” “Emergency”, “AIH”. The data referring to the characterization of the study, sociodemographic features of the population, clinical demand and final considerations were considered for analysis. Results: After searching the databases and applying the eligibility criteria, a total of 7 studies were selected, corresponding to 5 original articles and 2 course completion papers. Conclusions: There was a need to make users aware of the real assignment of the emergency units, as low complexity procedures must be provided by primary care, as well as the lack of legislation that regulates the autonomy of nursing professionals for referral of patients to less complex units without the need for prior evaluation by the medical team.
