Abstract

The Wikipedia (free internet encyclopedia) describe placebo as a imitation (sham) that propose to be true. In a commom placebo procedure, there is a introduction of a sugar pill to a patient, tell him that the pill will improve his health (without his knowledge that this is inactive). This procedure can induce the patient to believe that this treatment will change his health condition and this believe sometimes has a therapeutics effect, and the patient can improve. This phenomenon, is known as a placebo effet. Placebo (from Latim placere “I shall please “, antonymous nocebo) is a pharmacological inert substance (e.g. saline solution) whose effect is similar to what you expect from a pharmacological active substance, as antibiotics. Though the placebo effect is far being used in medicine, and at least is a part of any medicine, there is a possibility to create stress and arraign doctor honesty.
