Abstract

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common benign prostatic enlargement (BPE) that may lead to bladder outlet obstruction, lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and reduced quality of life. The aim of therapy is to improve LUTS and quality of life and to prevent BPE/BPO (benign prostatic obstruction) related complications, such as urinary retention or upper urinary tract dilatation.
