Abstract

Large eyelid malignant potential tumors should be resected with a margin of safety and represent a challenge to the plastic surgeon and ophthalmologist. The concern in maintaining the functionality of the reconstructed eyelid is important to avoid exposure of the eyeball and the serious consequences of a chronic eye exposition. We will report the case of a 78 years old male patient who presented with ulcerated tumor edges in over 75% of the length of the lower eyelid of the right eye, which was the eye with the best visual acuity of this patient.
