Abstract

Introduction: It is estimated that in Brazil there are more than 13 million women affected by different types of urinary incontinence (UI), and only 11-23% seek specific care. The transobturator sling is the most applied technique for correction of stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Objective: To report a case of Sling screen extrusion, which was surgically treated without loss of technical efficiency.
Reports the case: AMI, 66, G, X, P IV and the VI. Patient (SUI). It was placed Sling Jhonson screen by transobituratória technique (TVTO) with satisfactory post-surgical outcome. One year after surgery, there was vaginal discharge foul-smelling, but still continente. Screen was removed surgically, thus not harming the technical efficiency. In return, he reported being without secretion and fully continent.
Conclusion: The technique for placing the synthetic sling screen is very efficient, with 92% of effectiveness. The screen was removed and the patient without secretion, continues continent, confirming the efficiency of the applied technique.
