Lidocaine 5% patch for post-surgery from median neurophaty pain relief in tofaceous gout patient

The treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome associated with gout is a real challenge. Many times these patients have several comorbidities and may have a tophaceous mass causing nerve compression. In such cases, conservative treatment is ineffective. The objective of this study is to report a case operated and the use of 5% lidocaine pacth to relieve pain in the immediate postoperative period.
